We’re excited to announce that our new AI image generation capability is now available to beta users! We’ve worked to integrate some of the best models available and make the experience for the end user as easy as possible.

How Image Generation Works on Chat-O

When you send a prompt in a chat session, Chat-O’s intent classification system automatically detects whether you want to generate an image or continue a text conversation. If it detects an image generation request, it routes your prompt to the appropriate model and returns the result inline.

This seamless integration means you never have to switch tools or leave your conversation thread. You can discuss a concept, generate an image of it, and continue refining - all in one place.

How Image Generation Complements Text Models

Image generation works alongside our text models to create a unified AI experience. For example, you might:

  4. Iterate based on the feedback - all without leaving the conversation

Pricing and Credits

Image generation uses Chat-O’s credit system. Each image generation consumes credits based on:

  • Resolution: Higher resolutions cost more credits
  • Model: Different models have different credit costs
  • Complexity: More detailed prompts may use additional processing

Standard Chat-O credits apply, and all new users receive 1,000 free credits to explore both text and image generation.

The Evolution Since Beta

When we launched image generation in February 2025, it was our first step beyond text-only AI interactions. Since then:

  • The feature graduated from beta to general availability
  • We added support for image editing and variation generation
  • Resolution capabilities expanded from 1024x1024 to 2048x2048
  • The number of supported models grew from 2-3 to 8+
  • Generation speed improved by approximately 2x

For users who were part of the original beta, thank you for your feedback and patience. Your input directly shaped the feature set we have today.
